International Online Spring School of the Erasmus+ ENERGiES Project

The Erasmus+ ENERGiES project organised an international online Spring School bringing together students and professors from four partner universities across Europe:

  • University of Barcelona
  • Kozminski University
  • University of Montpellier
  • ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences

The event aimed to strengthen research awareness and foster international academic collaboration among Master students involved in the ENERGiES programme.

The first part of the Spring School was dedicated to poster presentations prepared by six international student groups on the theme:

“Sustainability and Contemporary Transformations in Business and Society”

Within this framework, students explored several contemporary challenges related to:

  • Gender, Diversity and Sustainability in Governance,
  • Artificial Intelligence and Sustainability,
  • Twin Transformation (Digital and Green Transition).

Through these presentations, students explored contemporary sustainability issues, business evolution, and societal transformations while developing their scientific communication and collaborative skills in an international environment.

The second part of the programme featured a presentation by Julie Marie Metta-Versmessen, who introduced her research article entitled:

Towards circular consumer behavior: Analysis of discount schemes on coffee cup use

This presentation opened discussions on circular economy, consumer behaviour, sustainability challenges, and research methodologies. Students also had the opportunity to exchange directly with the speaker about her experience as a researcher and the realities of academic research careers.

This Spring School represents an important milestone in fostering intercultural dialogue, collaborative learning, and research engagement within the Erasmus+ ENERGiES project.
